City of Burlington 2026 Budget Campaign
A strategic visual communication system designed to help the City of Burlington engage residents in the 2026 municipal budget.
Project Overview
With a focus on transparency and accessibility, a clear, engaging visual system was developed to support the City’s communication of its 2026 Budget. The campaign translated complex financial information into an easy-to-follow narrative across supporting digital and print materials.
My Role
My role included leading the visual direction for the campaign, designing the full Budget Blueprint, and creating all supporting digital and print assets. Working closely with Communications, Finance, and strategic partners, I translated complex financial and strategic information into clear, engaging visuals, sourced and directed photography, and ensured all elements could adapt seamlessly across multiple formats.
Pieces developed for this campaign included: the Budget Blueprint booklet; a PowerPoint deck for public presentation; a feedback booklet for public input; social media graphics and carousels; graphics and web updates for the City’s website; a Proposed Budget overview document (part of a 500-page binder); and Approved Budget social graphics.
Outcome
The final campaign delivered a polished, resident-friendly visual package that made complex content understandable and engaging. The Blueprint and presentation were used at public engagement nights and supported clear, confident communication.
